Friday Night Book Club: An Opportunity for Shared Reading

Reading is a gateway to other places, time periods, or even worlds. Shared reading can be a great way to meet new people and make friends. You can read independently and then talk about the chapters together.

Books and book clubs can pull you up out of your world when life gets tough. Joining a book club is both an escape and a journey into something rich and wonderful, sometimes when you really need it. It's a safe place to exchange and challenge ideas.

We will select a book to read each month and then have coffee and snacks during discussion.

A book club can keep us in touch with the world. It's easy to get so busy in our own lives that our personal learning stagnates. A club makes sure we are aware of current books and authors. By reading about life in different cultures and societies, understanding of the world can be enormously enhanced. We are forced to view oneself and lifestyle with new eyes.

Too busy to meet regularly?  Read and meet in months that best suit your schedule!
